Good Greek! Aristos

Even my picky sister liked this place. This is really good greek food. I admit I haven't ventured far outside the gyros and souvlaki - but they are so good, why desert them! These are served with the classic greek salad, lemon rice and/or potatoes --- Choose the potatoes! Yum! And do yourself a favor and get the rotisserie roasted beef and lamb gyros. (I know you want to wimp out and order the chicken, though I'm sure it's delicious, too.) The restaurant is cool inside and out, with a great patio. We (my many sisters and all our many kids) went there for lunch one day and left with our minds and dignity (and wallets) intact. The service was friendly and accommodating. It is located close to the University of Utah on 13th East. Voted Best Greek Restaurant more than once, you've got to try Aristos! Then let us know what you think!

Sawadee - Thai Restaurant

If we're craving Thai food, which is often, much of the time Sawadee has the fix. This great little Thai restaurant is conveniently located on South Temple, has cool decor, and most of all - a great lunch menu. We often pick up one lunch special to share, as it is very generous for a great price: Choice of two menu items, rice, salad, and spring roll for about 7 dollars, 9 dollars if you add extra rice. We recommend the BBQ pork, red curry, masaman curry, Pad Ga Prow stir fry and Panang curry. Plus, this is a great restaurant if you are Thai-shy. They've got lots of great non-spicy food to choose from.
